I have, literally, spent the entire day looking for my car keys, only to, eventually, find them in my purse.
I recently told a confused patient that it was 2008 while trying to reorient him!!! I suppose I was the one needing reorienting!!! I also frequently have difficulty remembering my children's names and resort to yelling "hey, you, stop it right now"!!!
I am so glad to read these memory slips! I thought I had Alzheimer's coming on! In the past 2 weeks, I have done some stupid things. The worst was -- it was a lovely day when I took Guinness out for his mid-day break, so I tied him to a tree to enjoy the almost warmth and birds singing. At 4 PM, I wondered where he was. I searched the house twice before standing puzzled, looking out the window. Bingo! There he was; still delighting in the spring day.
