Stale Cheese Puffs—Not the Answer

Stress stifles my creativity. Thus, while real-life A-Town is busy as usual (moreso in my part), on-line A-Town is quiet this week. Last night, I started to write about junk food. I got this far:

Strangely, I prefer my favorite junk foods slightly stale. For example, cheese puffs, circus peanuts, and Cookie Crisp cereal—they’re all better-tasting if left in the open air for 12-18 hours (half that time in humid conditions).

Then I remembered my To-Do list and started actually eating said semi-stale cheese puffs, in an ill-fated attempt to relieve my stress. Then I went to bed, severely regretting the effect of orange grease on my already-upset stomach. I thought I might puke. I did not. I awoke, following strange dreams, determined to do better.

I too prefer cheesies slightly stale, though I had never put an "air hourage" on them! However, Circus peanuts UGH! in any form!
This sounds like a confessional blog. Rock on Woman, YOu look MARVELOUS

I have a studio apartment, so my bedroom also doubles as my living room. That means that, some times, I might fall asleep with a bag of chips open on the coffee table and, in the morning, the first thing I think is "Hmmm...open-all-night-chips!", and that is my convenient breakfast in bed. See, it could be worse ;-)

Ha! And I thought that photo of golden goodies was baby carrots!

On another subject: I just read about peppermint oil for IBS.

Back to stale junk food: Perhaps we like stale stuff because it causes less guilt--we think no one else would eat it just because they are too picky, and we are humble, therefore will gnosh it down. Or maybe we will save someone else from the evil of eating such nasty stuff. BTDT
